Greetings!

Hello one and all, if you've come upon us from the offical stichnbitch.org and are looking to come along we'd love to meet you! If you've heard of us from somewhere else drop us a comment and let us know where.

We meet on the second Tuesday, so usually twice a month. We start at 12 noon and usually go till about 3pm.

To try and keep track of who's coming and making sure everyone is up to date with the current venue we have found Ravelry to be the most effective method so far. Just look for our threads in the Tassie Knitters group which will be labeled SNB L'ton followed by the next meeting date.

Quarantine At Our House

Hello?? Hello?? Is there anyone there?? We have been struck down by the Kennel Cough and we, well The Labradors, are in quarantine until next Thursday. Consequently we not allowed out and I don't want to spread the air borne germs in case you know any nice dogs and pass the germs on accidentally.

So I won't see you at The Knitting Coven this week. I am hoping that this is the end of the plagues on our house: and there isn't even a Romeo in sight as compensation!!!

Attention Tuesday Knitters! Bonus Xmas Meet-Up!

We will be having another meet-up before Christmas on the 23rd December. Cindy and I have booked at Peckish for 12 noon.
Could you please let me know if you will be attending so we can let them know how many seats we will need?

I will be sending this out via e-mail and will also post it on Rav. Also those planning on attending, could you please bring your diary/calendar so we can co-ordinate our belated Birthday celebration, put your thinking caps on as to where you'd like to go as we will need some suggestions!

Please forward me your e-mail address on the Rav, I believe I have most of your e-mail addresses but this will just ensure I have the current/preferred one you use.

SNB Birthday/Christmas Event

Quick bit of Housekeeping!

First off to Rachel (Am I Still An International Teacher?), I can't access a blogger profile or blog for you, so if your reading this, if you join Ravelry, and look up the Tassie Knitters group, there is a once a month Saturday meet-up that's happening.

Alright knitting coveners, as you know August is normally our Birthday month. But it seems to have crept up on us all this time around. I know we discussed moving it to September at one of out recent coven meetings.

We also discussed a Saturday since it seems to suit everyone as a meeting day, I know most people try to attend the Rav meeting on the first Saturday which will be the 6th of next month.
The 27th seems like a good day, it's 3 weeks after the September Rav meeting and also 5 weeks from this Saturday which should give us all time to mark our calenders.

Now what would everyone prefer a day or evening? I also need people to start thinking of places we'd like to go, the sooner the ideas come in the sooner I can start ringing places and seeing if we can book for our preferred time.

I'll list any suggestions people come up with here and we can all think about it. I think if we leave suggestions open till about the 6/9/2008, and then till the 10/9/2008 to come to an agreement on where we'd like to go.

Current suggestions:-

• Buffet, Casino Restaurant - Priced about $30-$35 I think? (Sandra D knows people who've been recently and it's apparently very good.)
